History of Rodman Funeral Service
Historical Picture of the Bennett Brown Rodman Home

At the beginning of the last century, Delaware was a bustling community. The hiss and chug of steam locomotives pulling into the station mingled with the steady clip-clop and clatter of horsedrawn carriages.

Many of the buildings from the beginning of the last century and earlier still stand as a tribute to Delaware's pride in tradition and desire to preserve our heritage.

One such building is the Bennett Brown Rodman Funeral Home at 92 North Sandusky Street.

What is now known as The Bennett Brown Rodman Funeral Home was started in 1906 by C. W. Morrison and his son Arthur.

In 1955, a second Bennett Brown Rodman Funeral Home was added in the town of Ashley at 307 East Hight Street to serve the community needs in the Northern reaches of Delaware County.

In 2000, a new Home was added to Columbus to serve Franklin County, the name of this new Home is Rodman Funeral Service. Rodman Funeral Service offers alternatives to the traditional high cost funeral, please see our section on Christian Funerals  will detail that information. In addition, please note that the Columbus Rodman Funeral Service is the exclusive service provider for the Ohio Cremation and Memorial Society .

Since the early 1900's people of Delaware and Franklin Counties have come to us to help them through their most difficult time. We can help you too, please contact us and let us know how we can help. Or submit our contact form in complete confidence and we will contact you.
